Amanda Hewitt Packing Bags to Study Abroad

2012 Dec 6

Columbia State Amanda Hewitt is set to go to European Capitals during the summer 2013 semester. Approved as one of the College's study abroad students, Hewitt, a resident of Lynnville, TN, is a Freshman at Columbia State and will be taking a course in U.S. History.

"The Global Education opportunities offered to Columbia State students are incredibly exciting," said Ana Basoa McMillan, Director of Global Education.

"Our students will head to exotic places like Peru, the Galapagos Islands, France, Italy, England, Iceland, Scotland, South Africa and Spain, Austria, Brazil and China and some of our students will be taking tours of Europe and Eastern Europe's Capital cities," she continued.

"Students who study abroad take college courses in areas such as psychology, photography, fine art, drawing, British literature, ethics, statistics, world civilization, Spanish, and creative writing. Imagine taking British Literature in England or Scotland, being able to explore first-hand the places the authors were as they wrote," Basoa McMillan said.
