Three Columbia State Community College students recently presented research projects at the Community College Undergraduate Research Initiative in Glendale, Arizona.

Fifteen Columbia State Community College athletes received all-academic awards from the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Thirty Columbia State Community College student-athletes received the 2017-2018 TCCAA All-Academic Award. Student-athletes earning the award consisted of sophomores who had completed 48 hours of intercollegiate work with a 3.0 GPA or higher and freshmen who had earned 24 hours with a 3.25 GPA or higher.

Each summer, Columbia State Community College students travel the world while earning college credit. This summer, 29 students participated in the study abroad program, exploring different countries and gaining exposure to other cultures.

Columbia State Community College student, Alexandria Pope, has been selected as one of 22 students nationwide to receive the Phi Theta Kappa Spring 2018 Hurst Review NCLEX scholarship that helps cover the cost of NCLEX exam fees and study materials.

Elliot Curtis, six-foot sophomore from Waterloo, Ontario was named Division I NJCAA Player of the Week. Curtis is an infielder for the Columbia State Chargers and carries a 4.0 GPA.

Keldrick "KJ" Lesure was recently named "TCCAA Male Student Athlete of the Week" for the week of Sept. 1. A starter for Columbia State during his freshman year, Lesure averaged 11 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. As a freshman, he maintained academic excellence, placing him on the dean's list for the fall semester and the president's list for the spring semester. He also recieved accolades from the TCCAA and is on pace to graduate from Columbia this spring.
