Southern Arkansas University's Biological Honors Society, the Psi Gamma Chapter of Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta), inducted seven new members, honored 2018 graduates and recognized the organization's officers.

The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Columbia State students were inducted into Sigma Kappa Delta, the national English honor society for two-year colleges. The honor society promotes honors excellence in English, and members enjoy writing, reading, discussion and fellowship. Membership is open to students who have completed one college English course and who maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher in English and other scholarship.

The Beta Theta Kappa Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa has completed its single largest induction of students into the honor society in its history. 100 new students have brought the total number of Honor Society students to more than 300. "This year is record setting for Columbia State," said President Smith. "The 100 new members of Phi Theta Kappa is the single largest class of honor society inductees in our history."
