Columbia State PTK Honors Students to Assist Memphis St. Jude Marathon
Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society members from Columbia State will join volunteers from across Tennessee and the state of Kansas in the Memphis, Tennessee St. Jude Marathon during the weekend of December 1, 2012.

Columbia State will recognize the 23 members of the College Choir in a community concert scheduled for November 29. The concert, being held in the Ledbetter Auditorium on the main Campus in Columbia, will begin at 1pm.

History Students Volunteer at Rippavilla
Columbia State History students logged more than 15 hours each of volunteer work for Rippavilla Plantation's annual fall Corn Maze this year. Whether they were keeping fires burning for Smores, policing the grounds, running concessions stands or greeting visitors, students were pitching in for this seasonal favorite destination.

Nine History students from Columbia Sate explored the Natchez Trace Parkway in a three-day trip led by Professor Barry Gidcomb. Following the required preliminary reading of "Life and Travel Along the Old Natchez Trace", students traveled the length of the Trace, stopping at various historical sites along the way.

Columbia State Announces Largest Induction into Honor Society in History
The Beta Theta Kappa Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa has completed its single largest induction of students into the honor society in its history. 100 new students have brought the total number of Honor Society students to more than 300.
"This year is record setting for Columbia State," said President Smith. "The 100 new members of Phi Theta Kappa is the single largest class of honor society inductees in our history." Membership was extended to the following students:
