Columbia Sate Nursing Graduates Pinned December 14
Fifty-two nursing graduates received their nursing pins in a ceremony December 14 in the Webster Athletic Center of Columbia State. During the ceremony, the nursing students took the Nightingale Oath of Nursing and received the Columbia State Nursing Pin which is worn on the uniforms of Registered Nurses.

Representing 63 Tennessee hometowns and as far away as New York to North Carolina, Columbia State prepares for its December 15th 2012, Fall Commencement Ceremonies. Columbia State will confer 366 degrees to graduates representing all of the college's five campuses. Commencement begins on the Columbia Campus at 10:00am and will be held in the Webster Athletic Building.

Columbia State Goes Global
Thirty-Five Columbia State freshman and sophomores are applying for Passports and packing their bags in anticipation of study abroad trips they have been approved to take as part of the Columbia State's Global Education program.
Students are scheduled to study in one of eleven countries across the globe and several of those students are scheduled to tour a series of European or Eastern European Capital cities. The trips are scheduled during the summer semester of 2013.

Columbia State History Students Give Back
Students in Dr. Barry Gidcomb's US History and Tennessee History classes spent time in class and in the archives, the historical society and historical buildings in the community as part of the experience of living with history. Students volunteered to help out in these organizations working with historical documents, and assisting with visitors.
